The USAID can become one of Ukraine's main partners in the issues of supporting people. This was emphasized by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a meeting in Washington with the Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power.

The parties coordinated the ways of overcoming the challenges faced by Ukraine and our people. In particular, they talked about citizens residing on the front line or in the temporarily occupied territories and requiring help from the state and the world community.

"On the part of the Government, we put a lot of effort to back these people and attract international organizations. USAID can be a reliable partner in addressing humanitarian and social issues. I call on the international community to take the lead in the matter of preventing a humanitarian catastrophe and helping put pressure on russia to unblock logistics routes," said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister stressed the Government's commitment to coordinate the humanitarian activities of the organizations in order to meet the needs of the people who need it badly.

Apart from that, Denys Shmyhal thanked the United States and USAID for their staunch support of Ukraine and personally Samantha Power for understanding the actual situation in our country.
