The Government will submit proposals to the Parliament to increase the funding of the subsidy program by UAH 12 billion. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

According to the Prime Minister, more than UAH 33 billion have been directed on subsidies to Ukrainians from the state budget so far. The Ministry of Social Policy estimates that about UAH 12 billion will be required by the end of the year to provide subsidies to all those who need them.

"Therefore, the Government, as agreed with MPs, will submit to Parliament the relevant changes to the budget. Currently, there is no debt on subsidies to Ukrainians. Almost 3 million households have been verified and will receive subsidies during the heating season. We have simplified people's access to the subsidy and now they can be obtained not within 30 days, but within 10," the Head of Government urged.

Denys Shmyhal stressed that the state fulfills its obligations to pay subsidies.
