The Government seeks to double Ukraine's GDP over the next 10 years. The tool to achieve this goal is provided in the National Economic Strategy until 2030, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced during the discussion panel "Ukraine and the World Ahead in 2022".
According to the Head of Government, the experience of a number of countries whose GDP grew by 1.7-2.6 times over 10 years was studied in the process of blueprinting of the Strategy. Denys Shmyhal stressed that in the current year the Government expected the highest GDP in the history of Ukraine in dollar equivalent.
"We also expect an increase in investment and the effective operation of the law on "investment nannies". This week, the first two packages to the tune of $96 million have been signed and submitted to the Ministry of Economy. We have applications for more than 20 projects with a total investment of almost $1.7 billion," said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister noted that on the outcomes of the year, Ukraine expects to receive almost $6.5 billion in investments. According to him, this will be facilitated by relevant government programs and investments in infrastructure, as well as the development of projects based on public-private partnerships.
Denys Shmyhal stressed that the Government would continue its work in this direction to win regional competition for investor.
