This year, in Ukraine, for the first time, the recalculation of pensions will be carried out in an automatic mode on the basis of a clear formula that takes into account the average wage and inflation rate. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.

"In January, we will have a pension recalculation for military retirees which are about 500 thousand people. And on March 1, there will be held massive recalculation of pensions for all Ukrainian citizens. There will be automatic indexation for the first time", said Volodymyr Groysman.

The PM emphasized that readjustment will be held on an annual basis and will not depend on political decisions. In addition, a solution is being sought for the problem of people who have long working experience, but for the entire life had received a small salary, and therefore, get a small pension.

At that, according to the Head of Government, the economy will be the basis of all changes. "The basis of all transformations must be a strong and open economy", summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
