Almost 3,000 unemployed people are involved in performing public works in seven regions under the Army of Recovery project. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko on the air of the National TV Marathon.
“The Government offers Ukrainians who have lost their jobs but are willing to work on the economic front to participate in the Army of Recovery program. That is, in the performance of socially useful works organized in the regions, which allows the unemployed to receive a guaranteed minimum wage. Nearly 3,000 people are already involved in such works,” Yuliia Svyrydenko said.
It should be noted that today activities are carried out in seven regions: Sumy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Donetsk, Poltava, Rivne and Zaporizhzhya.

In the near future, public works will also be organized in Volyn and Zhytomyr regions.
People receive at least UAH 6,700 for performing such works, and they can receive more, as the regions have the opportunity to co-finance the activities from their budgets.
Currently, the state has paid UAH 18.3 million to the unemployed involved in the socially useful works.
