During an online meeting between Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of Belgium Alexander De Croo, an agreement on technical and financial cooperation was signed.
According to the agreement, Belgium will finance reconstruction projects in Ukraine worth EUR 150 million. In particular, the funds will be used to restore energy and social infrastructure in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions.
The signed agreement simplifies the implementation of our joint programmes and projects, and will contribute to the recovery, economic and social development of Ukraine. Under the agreement, the Belgian development agency Enabel will open a representative office in Ukraine.
“We are grateful to Belgium for its unwavering support of Ukraine in the struggle for our freedom, independence and European future,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
