According to the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, our state highly appreciates the support of the Moldovan side of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, non-recognition of the temporary occupation of the Crimean Peninsula by the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian side, in turn, is ready to continue to contribute as much as possible to the restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova within the framework of internationally recognized borders.
"I would like to emphasize the need to unite efforts to address issues related to the prevention of risks and threats to regional security and the importance of developing cooperation between the armed forces of our countries. We consider the Republic of Moldova and its Armed Forces as a reliable partner with whom we have common national interests in the field of European integration. We are interested in further comprehensive development and promotion of bilateral defence cooperation," indicated Andrii Taran.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine also noted that work is underway on a draft intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation. Strengthening the military-political dialogue is seen as a promising direction for the development of bilateral dialogue in the field of defence.
