Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radosław Sikorski
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha: “On my way to Latin America, I had a very warm meeting in Warsaw with my good friend and colleague Radosław Sikorski.
I briefed my colleague on the battlefield situation and the current state of diplomatic efforts toward a lasting peace. We also discussed the geopolitical situation in the Middle East and noted that Ukraine’s experience in countering Iranian drones could contribute to broader security efforts.
I thanked Poland for its unwavering political, military, and humanitarian support. We discussed expanding cooperation in defense, security, reconstruction, and energy, as well as advancing Ukraine’s path to EU membership.
We also exchanged views on the alarming incident of Hungary’s seizure of Ukrainian bank vehicles transiting from Austria and the detention of Ukrainian citizens working on board. Such actions contradict the European Convention on Human Rights and respect for international law.
In this context, we also noted that it is unacceptable for any single country to block the EUR 90 billion facility for Ukraine driven by ambitions to play along with russia’s agenda.
Our partnership remains strong, and we are committed to further strengthening it for the sake of regional stability, European security, and global peace.
Dziękuję za Twoją serdeczną gościnność, drogi Radku!”
