Since the start of the year, the Government has allocated UAH 2.8 billion for the Kherson region. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during an offsite sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kherson region on 25 July.
In particular, UAH 2 billion has been allocated for the construction and arrangement of fortifications, UAH 224 million - for the repair of roads used to transport military equipment and other critical cargo, UAH 177 million - for the restoration of water and heat supply facilities, UAH 169 million - for shelters in schools and UAH 163 million - for shelters in medical facilities.
"This month is the fourth meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in the frontline regions. It is an important practice to see what problems and challenges people and local authorities are facing. We will continue to support and help the region," the Prime Minister said.
