The energy efficiency programs, first and foremost "warm loans" offered by the Government, allow to change the quality of services through the renovation of utility networks while saving on the consumption of resources. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on air of 112.ua TV channel.

"The vital task is to reduce the consumption of resources while improving the quality of services. We are talking about the high cost of gas. It is difficult for people to pay, thus (for cheaper final cost of the service) there are subsidies. It is important not only to bring down gas price, but to ensure consumers can pay the bills. The Warm Loan program was developed to this end. Government allocated  UAH 400 million for the implementation of the said program and hundreds of thousands of families use it," the Head of Government stressed.

He reiterated the Energy Efficiency Fund with a budget of UAH 1.6 billion UAH will start its work this year. The funds will be spent on projects of insulation of building and modernization of networks." We create new mechanisms, for a year or two the situation will change," added Volodymyr Groysman.

According to the Prime Minister, the Government policy aimed at promoting energy independence and ensuring own gas production will contribute to the changes. Therefore, the price of gas will be formed within the country.

"We will not need import (gas), Volodymyr Groysman stressed, Stockholm court had ruled in our favor over a gas contracts of 2009 year. Why did we need this? We are a gas country and this fact enables us to forget about import".
