Minister of Defence of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak held talks with Member of Supervisory Board of State Concern Ukrobronprom Mr Anthony Tether.

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine welcomed the US delegation and stressed that in the context of Russian armed aggression it was necessary to consolidate efforts of the Ministry of Defence and defence industry, especially in reforms of the Ukrainian army and defence industry.

“It is impossible to have sophisticated armament without modern scientific developments and researches. Ukroboronprom has enormous potential and we have to use it constructively. I am ready to cooperate, all our joint projects have a great chance of success”, Gen. Poltorak stressed.

The Minister of Defence also underscored the necessity to intensify activities of scientific institutions of the National Science Academy of Ukraine and establishment of international cooperation with appropriate scientific centres of partner nations.

“The Supervisory Board has been established recently and we are revising the Concern activities. I have a lot of ideas and would like to improve our work. I believe that direct recommendations and contact with you will be effective”, Mr Tether said.
