Minister of Defence of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak stated it before the Session of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) Committee on National Security and Defence.

“We cooperate with the Alliance, there are no serious problems, I think that we will change the format of our cooperation because all taken decisions, as well as undergoing reform should become the basis for change of format from friendly relations to strategic partnership, and when we are ready and the NATO is ready we could join the Alliance”, Gen. Poltorak underscored.

According to him, the NATO standards are being implemented as scheduled.
