In the framework of the working travel to the United States, Minister of Defence of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak met with officers of National War College.
Brigadier General Chad T. Manske, Commandant, National War College, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C, briefed the audience on college history and its famous alumni. Two Ukrainian officers who participated in ATO attend courses in the college.
“I am very satisfied. I see patriots in this college. I am happy that all other officers learn Ukrainian history, its fighting for independence and territorial integrity”, Gen. Poltorak said.
The Minister of Defence of Ukraine briefed the audience on progress of defence reforms and prospects of Ukraine-US cooperation.
“Today, the United States is a driving force of changes, reforms, support for Ukraine by international partners. I hope that the dynamics of our cooperation will grow in 2018. I invite your officers to Ukraine to meet with our military. Ukrainian soldiers have finished a serious school of war. Our experience is valuable and we are ready to share it with our friends”, he underlined.
General Poltorak presented the book ‘War. No Comment’ — a collection of photos — to General Manske.
