Lviv oblast hosts an initial planning conference of joint military exercise Rapid Trident 2018. The event is conducted in participation of representatives of Ukraine’s Army Command and US military training mission, UK and Canada military, as well as officers from more than 10 armies of the NATO nations and partners.

During a week, they will develop joint documents regulating every phase of the future manoeuvres.

The Rapid Trident exercise has been conducted since 2006 at the International Peacekeeping and Security Centre (Lviv oblast) in the framework of the NATO Partnership for Peace (PfP) programme to enhance interoperability amongst participating nations and combine capabilities to operate joint, multinational coalition operations.
