Today Ukraine has
a crucial historical chance to upgrade the court system
into a new and efficient one
with a high level of
public confidence and that will also allow to achieve a key aim, in
particular, to make the country
economically strong and capable of
defending its borders and international
interests. This statement was issued
by Prime Minister of Ukraine
Volodymyr Groysman during the festivities
on the occasion
of Court Workers' Day and
the launch of the work
of the new
Supreme Court.
The Head of
Government stressed that 4 years ago
Ukraine embarked on the complicated
path towards profound transformations.
"At present,
we face the
task of making
Ukraine a successful, developed, democratic and economically
strong, a country where people have
decent standard of living and
the rule of law and
security are guaranteed," the Prime Minister claimed.
Moreover, Volodymyr Groysman
emphasized internal and external transformations
are on the
agenda.
"We have
to defend our territorial integrity and independence
and ensure that Ukraine has
a decent place among world and
European countries," the Head of
Government added.
"There will
never be a second chance to
make the first (positive) impression," noted the Prime Minister,
"And today we have a chance
to build a new judicial system,
to increase the level of
public confidence ... Everyone has a chance to leave
a mark in history. I wish court officials have gone down
in history as personalities who have developed
a new, independent and professional branch of government."
