Ukraine and the European Union have signed particular bilateral documents in the framework of the working visit of the delegation of the Government of Ukraine to Brussels. In particular, the Agreement on Financing of the Danube Transnational Program and the Agreement on Financing of the EU Support for the East of Ukraine were inked.

The Agreement on financing the Danube Transnational Program creates legislative framework and provides financial tools for the participation of Ukrainian companies in the initiative. It also concerns the development of the Ukrainian part of the Danube area, in particular in Chernivtsi, Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathian regions. The main cooperation lines under the aforesaid agreement comprise innovation, environmental issues, infrastructure, energy efficiency, and effective governance.
