The heating season
will be held
at the appropriate
level, the country is fully
ready for winter. This statement
was issued by Prime Minister
of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during A Question Time for the
Government at the Verkhovna Rada
of Ukraine.
"We have
become used to working in
harsh conditions. Our preparedness is out of
question for winter period. Ukraine is ready,
we have accumulated
sufficient reserves of energy resources",
noted the Prime Minister.
He placed a particular
emphasis on the work of
the Regulator (the National Commission
for State Regulation of Energy
and Public Utilities Sector) which is currently
problematic due to the lack
of a quorum in its work
and the ineffectiveness
of procedures. Thus, the Head of
Government is ready to appeal
to the President
of Ukraine as well as
to the Parliament
with a request of assistance in
resolving the situation. "I think we will find
the necessary solutions," he claimed.
While speaking about
further steps, Volodymyr Groysman stressed the continuation
of the policy
of energy efficiency is on
the agenda. "We are thinking
about increasing funding for energy
efficiency programs and the Energy
Efficiency Fund, taking account of the figures
and budget possibilities," the Head of Government
summed up.
