Ambassador of Ukraine
to the U.S. Valeriy Chaly held
a meeting with Chairman of the
House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Devin Nunes.
Valeriy Chaly emphasized
his gratitude to Mr. Nunes
for his unwavering
support of Ukraine particulary in the decision
of the U.S. House of Representatives
on providing $350 million of security
assistance to Ukraine.
Also Ambassador stressed
the importance to enhance further
the U.S.-Ukraine cooperation
in continued joint efforts to
counteract the challenges posed by the ongoing
Kremlin’s hybrid warfare against Ukraine and the
West in the
area of cyber
security in particular.
In this regard,
Ukraine’s Ambassador asked Chairman Nunes to support
relevant congressional legislative initiatives, such as H.R.1997 “Ukraine Cybersecurity Cooperation Act of 2017” that was
introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year.
