Heads of Swedish international military centres visit National Defence University of Ukraine

Head of International Training Centre of the Swedish Armed Forces (SWEDINT) COL. Peter Fredriksson and Head of Nordic Centre for Gender in Military Operations Centre LTC Lars Berglund visited the National Ivan Cherniakhovskyi Defence University.

“The world changes, new standards appear and we try to meet current requirements. We are grateful for cooperation and possibility to share experience”, Head of Training and Scientific Centre for International Peacekeeping Activities COL. Mykola Bielov remarked.

Sweden and Ukraine have been cooperating in personnel training for peacekeeping missions since 2009. In the framework of experience sharing the Swedish instructors give training and courses for the Ukrainian military and the Ukrainian instructors give lectures in Sweden.

During two-day visit the foreign guests shared experience in peacekeepers training, as well as discussed the prospects of cooperation.
