Pavlo Klimkin met with lawmakers, diplomats and government officials in Berlin

framework of the visit to
Berlin Minister for Foreign Affairs
of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin held
a meeting with Walter J. Lindner, State Secretary of the Federal
Foreign Office, and representatives of the German parliamentary
and political circles, where the process of
forming a new government coalition is underway.
During the meeting
held at the
Federal Foreign Office, practical issues of bilateral cooperation
between Ukraine and Germany were
discussed. In the course of
the meeting a particular emphasis was placed on
the situation in the Donbas
in the context
of maintaining international solidarity with Ukraine on
measures to counter Russian aggression. The interlocutors praised the high level
of organization and implementation of the German-Ukrainian Year of Languages.
Discussed were also issues of
further support of Ukraine in
the process of implementation of internal structural
reforms.
The implementation of the Minsk
Agreements and the joint efforts
of the international
community on the settlement of the situation
in the Donbas
were at the
center of attention during a meeting with Jan
Hecker, foreign policy adviser to the Chancellor
of Germany.
While visiting the
Axel Springer SE publishing house, Pavlo Klimkin gave
an interview to the most
popular German newspaper Bild.
