A delegation from
Ukraine visited Latvia on 16 – 20 October, 2017. This visit by the
Ukrainian officials, as well as
academics took forward the project
“Strengthening the Agricultural Advisory System: towards full integration of the Ukrainian
agricultural sector into the EU Common
Market” with the support of
the Latvian side in terms
of advancing the Ukrainian reforms
in agriculture.
During this visit,
the Ukrainian delegation has taken stock of
the fundamentals that underpin the
Latvian Government’s policies for rural
areas, including agricultural cooperatives regulatory positions and also activities
of the farmers’
organisations such as with helping
governmental structures to make better
policies on agriculture.
On 28 – 29 November, 2017 in Kyiv the
concluding conference will bring together
Ukrainian, as well as Latvian
stakeholders in order to sum
up the project-related achievements against its targets set
for this year.
