The healthcare sector in Ukraine calls for an urgent set of actions, and the country has never been closer to introducing the necessary solutions in this area. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.
He announced that a set of topmost decisions had been developed and was undergoing wide discussion. "There is positive and negative feedback in this issue. But I want to ask everyone: do we have to leave everything the way it is? Look at the healthcare facilities, the quality of services, the conditions in which patients occur. We can’t go on like this, we cannot tolerate it – risking life and limb of Ukrainian citizens. It's unacceptable not to do a hand’s turn, to leave everything the way it is", urged Volodymyr Groysman.
Those who refuse supporting changes either have never been in medical institutions, or deliberately ‘throw up roadblocks’. “Our objective is to analyze the reform. Let's adjust, but in order to achieve goals, make responsible decisions and implement them,” said Volodymyr Groysman, “People use to say: God forbid to get sick today. Why are they saying so? Because this is a huge financial shock. We implement certain programs, but it’s insufficient. I urge once again: let's put aside our political flags, unite, adopt right decisions."
