Ukraine, Poland and Lithuania sign agreement on LITPOLUKRBRIG military brigade
Ukraine,
Poland and Lithuania have concluded a tripartite agreement
on cooperation in functioning of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian
Brigade (LitPolUkrbrig).
The document
was signed by defense ministers of the three countries Stepan Poltorak, Antoni Macierewicz and Raimundas Karoblis in Lublin.
„This
agreement changes the form of the brigade. From now on, the brigade
will be able to take part in activities, holding of which
is necessary when the peace is under threat.
It is a good sign that will allow our peoples, primarily the
brigade, to act for the sake of security of Central and Eastern
Europe,” Polish defense minister Macierewicz said.
He stressed
that the brigade was an example of the path which the three peoples
choose: the path of unity in opposing enemies, the path
of mutual assistance.
„Today
we want and we will help Ukraine, which was attacked by Eastern
imperialism, for the sake of securing peace, cooperation and good future
for our peoples,” Macierewicz stressed.
