In 2018, Ukrainian verifiers are expected to perform 12 observation flights under the Treaty on Open Skies, including over the territory of the Russian Federation.
“Ukraine is expected to perform 12 observation flights over the territories of participants of the Treaty on Open Skies considering the evolving security situation, military activities in Europe and the Russian Federation. Ukraine will perform these flights with partners”, Ukrainian verifiers inform.
The delegation of the Verification Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will stand this ground during a session of the Open Skies Consultative Commission concerning distribution of active quotas of observation flights in 2018.
The session of this commission will be held on October 5-6 in Vienna, Austria.
