The Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine sees no reason for increasing the gas price for the
population, as well as no economic basis for reviewing the calculations. This
was announced by Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Ihor Nasalyk, commenting on whether
revision of the cost of fuel is possible from October 1.
"Gas price has no the upward bias. The Prime Minister has clearly stated that there are no economic reasons for this (a price hike). Therefore, the Ministry can confirm this," said the Minister.
He recalled that the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry provided its vision for the calculation of the price formula, and the Cabinet of Ministers is to consider it.
