
Volodymyr Groysman pledges Road Fund being new financing tool to start operation January 1 2018
Starting from
January 1, 2018, the Road Fund is to trigger in Ukraine, becoming a new effective
tool for financing road construction and overhaul activities the amount of which
is to soar. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman
during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.
“From January 1, 2018, the Road Fund will start operation as a new funding tool. The quantity of financing will grow. This year we have about UAH 30 billion available for major road repairs, and next year it will make up over UAH 42 billion,” said the Head of Government, “We should accelerate the speed of major repairs."

for roads the Government envisaged UAH 4 billion for major repair of a road Lviv – Ternopil – Khmelnytsky – Odessa – Vinnytsia – Uman
– Odessa – Mykolayiv – Kherson and UAH 2 billion for the rebuilding of a road
Kyiv - Kharkiv – Dovzhansky.
"Back in 2016, I promised that we would commence a large-scale road construction in Ukraine. We have fulfilled the promise and will stop under no circumstances", urged Volodymyr Groysman.
