
Volodymyr Groysman assures financing for SES to be among priorities and increased in draft state budget for 2018
An increased
funding for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine is included into the
priorities of the draft state budget for 2018, announced Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.
Today, September
15, the Head of Government together with the President of Ukraine Petro
Poroshenko and the Chairman of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov visited a special
exercise of the SES units the Kyiv Sea 2017. The training was held on the eve
of the Rescuer Day of Ukraine and involved 300 employees of the SES, 19 items
of special vehicles, two planes and two helicopters, 26 waterborne platforms.
"In case of an emergency we appeal to you, and today I want to express my words of gratitude to the rescuers for the thousands of saved lives, for the saved cities and villages", emphasized Volodymyr Groysman. "The issue of financing for the SESU is one of the benchmarks in the budget for 2018. You (rescuers) should have decent salary and use advanced equipment. All the expenditures we have planned will be invested in improving the quality of the Service."
