On behalf of the Government and me personally I congratulate You on Your professional holiday ― the Miner's Day!

The work of pitmen is one of the most complex and hazardous. Every day, when going inside the mine, these people risk their own lives and health in order to provide the country with mineral resources. The state of the national economy and industry directly depends on the work of the miners and the energy situation of all the cities and regions of our country depends on the state of the coal industry.

The coal industry is a strategic sector of the national economy. The development of this industry is enshrined in the Energy Strategy of Ukraine until 2035. Coal is the resource that the state especially needs in the heating season, which is of utmost importance for thermal generation and our industry and in general is needed to achieve energy independence and economic growth of the country. But the most valuable resource is, of course, miners thanks to their dedicated work we have heating, light and comfort in our homes.
