On June 28-30, 2017, at the invitation of the Minister of Education of the State of Israel Naftali Bennett, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Lilia Hrynevych paid a working visit to Israel.

During the visit, she has met with the Minister of Education of the State of Israel Naftali Bennett, the Chairman of the Knesset Science Committee Uri Maklev, the Knesset Member Tali Ploskov, the Head of the Israeli part of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Minister of Environmental Protection, The Minister of Jerusalem and the Jewish Heritage of the State of Israel Zeev Yelkin, with other Israeli officials. 

During the negotiations, the prospects of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of education as well as the possibility of engaging Israeli experience in the reform of the educational sphere in Ukraine were discussed.

Minister L. Hrynevych has visited several Israeli educational institutions, got acquainted with the work of the Israeli Center of  Evaluation, the latest developments of Israeli companies in the field of education.  During his visit to one of the leading universities in Israel - Technion University in Haifa, L. Hrynevych became acquainted with the organizational, academic, financial characteristics of the Israeli higher education system, the practice of commercialization of scientific research, the creation of "start-ups", the encouragement of students to business activities, etc.

 During this visit, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine has met with the volunteers of the NGO "Israeli Friends of Ukraine" and discussed the possibilities of implementing joint educational programs.
