The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the framework of
redistribution of UAH 24 billion obtained as a result of overperformance
of the planned state budget revenues for 2017 offers to introduce amendments to
the state budget and to allocate funds for social, infrastructure and defense
projects. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at
the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
He emphasized that the achieved result is an intensive work on unshadowing
and strengthening of the economy. At the same time, the Head of Government
stressed that if Ukraine had not encountered with problem of the energy
blockade in Donbass which was imposed in January of
this year and had not lost economic growth due to this factor, thereby
overfulfilment of the budget would be much bigger.
«We have overfulfilment of the plan of budget revenues to the tune of 24
billion hryvnias. These funds will be directed to the burning needs: the sum
worth 14 billion will be allocated for subsidies. Also, we allocate funds for
the construction of the road Lviv – Khmelnytsky – Vinnytsia – Uman – Odesa - Mykolaiv. We will continue the program of free medicines,
thereby we allocate UAH 200 million to ensure full funding of the program and
to expand the list of medicines under the program», noted the Head of
Government.
A separate budget allocation will be introduced for an additional
medical subvention to the tune of 400 million hryvnias, furthermore 500 miilion for the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, 300
million hryvnias will be directed to ensure payment of wages for miners, 60
million UAH for the purchase of children's angiograph as well as expenditures
for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of
Ukraine
«We count on the Parliament to approve the said decisions tomorrow and
we will be able to allocate funds (as needed)»,
underscored the Prime Minister.
