  • Cabinet of Ministers offers to allocate funds to the tune of 24 billion hryvnias of overfulfilment of the state budget revenues for social, infrastructure and defence sectors

    The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within the framework of redistribution of UAH 24 billion obtained as a result of overperformance of the planned state budget revenues for 2017 offers to introduce amendments to the state budget and to allocate funds for social, infrastructure and defense projects. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

    He emphasized that the achieved result is an intensive work on unshadowing and strengthening of the economy. At the same time, the Head of Government stressed that if Ukraine had not encountered with problem of the energy blockade in Donbass which was imposed in January of this year and had not lost economic growth due to this factor, thereby overfulfilment of the budget would be much bigger.

    «We have overfulfilment of the plan of budget revenues to the tune of 24 billion hryvnias. These funds will be directed to the burning needs: the sum worth 14 billion will be allocated for subsidies. Also, we allocate funds for the construction of the road LvivKhmelnytskyVinnytsiaUmanOdesa - Mykolaiv. We will continue the program of free medicines, thereby we allocate UAH 200 million to ensure full funding of the program and to expand the list of medicines under the program», noted the Head of Government.

    A separate budget allocation will be introduced for an additional medical subvention to the tune of 400 million hryvnias, furthermore 500 miilion for the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, 300 million hryvnias will be directed to ensure payment of wages for miners, 60 million UAH for the purchase of children's angiograph as well as expenditures for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
