Volodymyr Groysman pledges to attend all regions to verify the quality of road overhaul and construction activities
Prime Minister of
Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman is planning to visit
each region of Ukraine to check the quality of roadwork and efficiency of use
of budget funds, he was quoted as saying while
communicating with media people in Ternopil region at
the site of repairing road M-19 connecting Domanovo -
Kovel - Chernivtsi - Terebleche.
"I will travel to absolutely all roads, all the regions. Every week I am visiting one or another region - either in the east or west. In the near future, I shall attend east and south. I control the situation and I’m well aware what is happening there", said the Prime Minister.
He told that day
he had visited three regions: Lviv, Volyn and Ternopil. "I looked
at their plans, understand their particular problems, where they need support
and assistance to be more effective", Volodymyr Groysman said and added the
Government, as promised, had provided the launch of roadwork.
"There is a
lot to be done, we have just begun. I assure you that with such an approach in five
years we will demonstrate a very different quality of Ukrainian roads",
said the Prime Minister.
Apart from that,
he again emphasized that he had commissioned Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Kistion in synergy with Chairman of the State Agency of Motor
Roads of Ukraine Sławomir Nowak to summon a meeting with leaders of
five regions that demonstrate poor performance of roadwork and answer what kind
of support they require to settle the problems as soon as possible.
