Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman commissioned Vice Prime
Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities
of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko
to solve the problem of artificial restraints for amalgamation of territorial
communities in Kyiv region. Volodymyr Groysman announced the relevant
instructions during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada on Friday in
response to MP’s appeal.
"I know that there are problems with the decentralization process
in Kyiv. It is of paramount importance for the Ministry of Regional Development
(Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of
Ukraine), adding that he will entrust the line Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko, to hold a meeting
aimed to discuss the said issue and to adopt a rational decision with officials
of Kyiv region.Nobody has the right as well as no official authorities will
stop the process of decentralization, as it has already yielded positive
results ", said the Prime Minister.
He emphasized that the core objective of the decentralization is to
offer an opportunity to establish developed local communities in the country, hence no officials are unable to stop this process.
"Such amalgamation of consolidated communities provides qualitative
medical services, pre-school education - access to kindergartens, schools and
infrastructure. And that's the point of the decentralization process,"
underscored Volodymyr Groysman.
