  • Volodymyr Groysman about resignation of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food: I am grateful for collaboration, Gov't will continue to implement initiated programs

    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman thanked the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Kutovyi who submitted a resignation letter the previous day for the joint work and noted that all programs that has been started aimed to support farmers will be continued. The Head of the Government noted in his opening statement at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

    « A reliable, professional our colleague has decided to leave the post of Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food. I immediately responded and again I want to emphasize that I am extremely sorry that he made this decision, but I deeply respect this step It is a personal decision. He decided to work in the investment field. I am deeply convinced that he intends to prolong cooperation with the Government, inter alia with the Investment Support Office», said the Prime Minister.

    He announced that soon consultations will be kicked off with the parliamentary coalition on the adoption of the necessary decisions: the voluntary resignation of the Minister and possible choice of candidates that will be submitted to Parliament for the appointment of the new Minister.

    Volodymyr Groysman stressed the peculiar role of Taras Kutovyi in the development of the agricultural sector during the period of 2016-2017 and assured that the Government is committed to continue policy of strong support of the agrarian sector, including agricultural engineering.

    «The sector is of utmost importance... We will spare no efforts to support this sector», underscored the Head of Government.
