On the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repressions Ukrainians bow to the memory of those killed by the totalitarian regime in Ukraine.

Annually, on the third Sunday of May, Ukraine honors the memory of all people killed by repressive bodies all over Ukraine.

Day of mourning bow our heads to commemorate all those who died or suffered in Ukraine due to political repression of the communist regime.

On 21st of May, 2017, the day of 80th anniversary of the Great Terror - the mass political repressions of 1937-1938 and in memory of victims of political repression at the Building of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Hellenic Republic national flag of Ukraine is lowered.

We, modern Ukrainians, should not only remember that, but also do our utmost to prevent such tragic events from taking place in the history of our country.
