We want value added be created in Ukraine, says Volodymyr Groysman
The Government is developing a
number of programs to stimulate industrial production, thereby encouraging the
creation of added value in Ukraine. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman stressed during the conference "Transformation’17. What will
reforms change in the lives of Ukrainian citizens" on Thursday.
"We’d prefer added value be created in Ukraine, but not abroad. We must abandon a model when raw materials from Ukraine are supplied to the markets of other countries, and instead we get end products," said Volodymyr Groysman.
He noted that among the core priorities for the Government until 2020 was to ensure sustainable economic growth of the country.
With this purpose the Government is developing a number of programs to spur industrial production. In particular, among those determined is the need for a state program of incentives for agricultural engineering industry.
To achieve this goal the Government allocates UAH 0.5 billion to ignite motivation for manufacturing of national product with high localization level.
"Actually we were constantly losing our opportunities in the economy: markets, science, technology, education - all these areas require retrofitting," said the Head of Government.
