Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman visited Grove of Nations in Jerusalem and planted an olive tree as a symbol of peace, partnership and development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and State of Israel. The planting ceremony took place as part of the Prime Minister’s official visit to Israel.

“The symbol of peace for our countries as well as for our nations is of paramount importance. We know the price of peacekeeping had at times been very high. Our both countries are fighting today for the right to live in their native land, to restore its territorial integrity, that we spare no effort to ensure peace, harmony, tranquility," said the Head of Ukrainian Government.

He noted that Ukraine and Israel have a long shared history and great prospects for future cooperation.

"We would like these opportunities enable our countries and nations to stay closer”, underscored the Prime Minister.
