Ukraine hopes for a positive decision of the European Parliament on granting the visa-free regime
Ukraine hopes for the positive decision of the European Parliament on
approval of the visa-free regime to Ukrainian citizens. This was stated by
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the meeting with Prime Minister of the
Republic of Estonia Jüri Ratas,
Prime Minister of the Republic of Latvia Māris Kučinskis and Prime Minister of the Republic of
Lithuania Saulius Skvernelis.
“We are happy to the fact that today the European Parliament will
consider the issue of approval a visa-free regime to Ukraine. I would like to
express gratitude for the position of the governments of your countries - the
Baltic States - in this issue. We hope to receive a positive decision of the
European Parliament on the introduction of a visa-free regime which will pave
the way for Ukrainian citizens to take advantage of opportunities and right (to
travel to Europe without visas). It is crucial for us to eradicate the “iron
curtain” which was built many years ago as well as to ensure the implementation
of the European integration”, stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
