The Government plans to analyze how payment for gas shall be divided, the procedure that will come in effect on April 1 pursuant to the law, and to shape a formula for calculating bills, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the meeting with representatives of regional media on Friday.

"According to the adopted law on the natural gas market and to the Code of gas transportation network, starting April 1, it is necessary to calculate separately the price of gas and the cost of transmission and delivery. And it has actually led to a decrease in gas price by UAH 800. In fact, there occurred a split. Now I want to look at the structure of bills", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

He accentuated that a thousand of cubic meters of gas shall cost now about UAH 6 thousand. In addition, the gas payment scheme won’t in any way affect the households that obtain housing and utilities subsidies.

"Those 7.5 million households receiving subsidies won’t feel the change", said the Head of Government.
