The employment system in Ukraine should stimulate the creation of jobs and actual recruitment, rather than maintain unemployment. This was stated by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine on Thursday.
"I am very concerned about the employment system in our country. I think the time has come to transform the system and start encouraging new jobs and actual employment. Employment is a key issue," said the Prime Minister.
According to him, the focus in the employment system needs to be changed from promoting unemployment to creating workplaces.
The Prime Minister also noted that after a twofold increase in the minimum wage in the first two months of 2017 Ukraine had seen growth in the number of vacancies and a lower unemployment rate. "It's all just the beginning," he assured.
