Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman called on the campaigners in Donbass to visit steel and power companies, which are in jeopardy due to the blockade, and explain to the employees the reasons for their actions. The PM said during a meeting with representatives of the metallurgical complex dedicated to considering problem issues of activity of enterprises of metallurgical and power industries through the blocking of freight traffic with the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The Head of Government reminded that he had recently had a meeting with a group of the blockade staff to discuss energy blockade, but did not receive feedback.
Volodymyr Groysman urged those present at the meeting heads of smelters and energy providers to invite the entire staff of campaigners from Donbas and meet with the workforce of their companies.
“I publicly appeal today to the Headquarters of the blockade campaign: fellows, please, I beg all the leaders of the blockade to visit all together all the enterprises that are suffering from huge [losses] - you have actually push them to the brink of destruction, so it is very right to come to the team to explain their actions, the alternatives that you offer,” said Volodymyr Groysman. “Dozens thousands Ukrainian families, Ukrainian people, who need an explanation from you, what are you doing, why are you doing this, who motivates you to do it, what your vision of the situation is in the medium term”.
Such a dialogue will have positive consequences, says the Head of the Government. "It's one thing to listen to the leaders, but an entirely different thing is to hear to steelworkers who are working in very difficult conditions," he urged.
