At its session on
Tuesday the members of the Government commemorated the Heroes of the Heavenly
Hundred with a moment of silence.
On opening the meeting
of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr
Groysman said that these days mark in Ukraine the third anniversary of the Maidan
massacre during which the Heavenly Hundred Heroes “gave their lives for our
beautiful Ukrainian state.”
“They took action to
prevent the introduction of totalitarian dictatorship, and in particular, to hamper
the destruction of our independence”, highlighted Volodymyr Groysman.
Yesterday under the
chairmanship of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko there took place a
meeting with families of heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, and last week the
Prime Minister met with the Initiative group of victims/wounded in Maidan
events.
During the meetings there
were raised a lot of problematic issues of concern to the participants of the Revolution
of Dignity. However, many questions have been settled to date, said Volodymyr Groysman.
"We must do
everything to ensure that every question raised by the families [of the Heavenly
Hundred Heroes], and the Maidan events participants be resolved. It is the
responsibility of both the central and local authorities", urged the Prime
Minister.
"We must spare no effort to make Ukraine
successful and do everything not to be ashamed to look people in the face",
stressed Volodymyr Groysman.
