Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Pavel Filip during the talks on Monday called for expanding the practice of joint control at international crossing points at the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border, the implementation of specific infrastructure projects and deepening cooperation in the energy sector.
In particular, Volodymyr Groysman expressed his Government's interest in realization until the end of this year of joint control at the Kuchurgan-Pervomaisk international border checkpoint on the Transnistrian segment of the state border.
The Head of Ukrainian Government offered to give a commission to relevant services to begin work on the preparation of draft protocols for the organization of joint control at checkpoints Mayaky-Palanka-Udobne (in the territory of the Republic of Moldova) and Reni-Giurgiulesti (in Ukraine).
"Border crossing points,
joint controls, high quality infrastructure of checkpoints will enable us to be
more transparent and mobile. I think that at the checkpoints there should only
be joint work", said Volodymyr Groysman.
The parties
also expressed their support for the implementation of infrastructure projects
for the opening of the bridge Bronnytsia – Unguri for passenger transport and providing it an international
status, as well as the construction of a new bridge over the Dniester at the Yampil – Soroca border checkpoint.
The implementation of these infrastructure projects will enhance the transport
potential of Ukraine and Moldova, said Volodymyr Groysman.
The Government of Ukraine will take into account those connection needs between the two countries during the formation of plans for the renovation of roads in Ukraine, he said.

Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova contact points on the
Moldovan-Ukrainian state border and the main technological principles of
organization of information exchange regarding persons and vehicles in which
persons cross the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border.
"We must significantly improve the process of crossing of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border. We and our respective services have just inked an agreement for joint clearance procedure, which will occur in the same crossing points on the territory of Moldova, other checkpoints in the territory of Ukraine, thereby significantly cutting the time and quality of crossing our state border", said Volodymyr Groysman.
The sides

stressed Volodymyr Groysman. "We want to assure you that we will be
reliable partners", he added.
