  • Prime Minister agreed with President of the European Commission the second tranche worth EUR 600 million be granted to Ukraine in coming weeks

    During the negotiations in Brussels Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman have agreed with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker that Ukraine will receive the second tranche of macro-financial assistance in the amount of EUR 600 million in the coming weeks.

    "This will be done in the coming weeks. I think that after having watched the reform efforts in Ukraine, the Ukrainians have a right to see something in return", said Jean-Claude Juncker following the negotiations during a joint with the Prime Minister of Ukraine communication with journalists.

    The decision taken by the European Commission to disburse macro-financial support worth EUR 600 million is the proof of the high level of confidence in the Government and the Prime Minister and is viewed as tangible support for Ukraine at the time of unprecedented challenges.

    "These funds will be directed to the State budget of our country, and they will have a positive impact on macroeconomic stability", said Volodymyr Groysman.
