Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman visited Avdiyivka where he summoned a meeting of the emergency response staff.

The meeting was also attended by Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko, Minister of the Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine Vadym Chernysh and Chairman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechiotkin.

The participants of the event heard the reports of leaders of the Donetsk regional state administration and heads of all local services.

The current situation in the town is difficult, but under control. The houses are kept warm, but it is impossible to resume electricity supplies unless a ceasefire regime is restored.

All possible scenarios of the situation development have been worked out. All the services have a clear understanding of what each of those must do.

The Prime Minister commissioned the social services to visit all the elderly, and, if necessary, to provide them with warm meals.

Due to the fact that educational process in the schools of the town was suspended, Volodymyr Groysman commissioned the Chairman of the civil-military administration of Avdiyivka and the Department of education to ensure operation of one school which works on solid fuel, where children could stay during the daylight hours.

Moreover, the SES got a commission in collaboration with the local water provider to approve schedules and to ensure the delivery of potable and industrial water in all the yards of the town.

Volodymyr Groysman called for the warming station, which was deployed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. The Prime Minister instructed, if necessary, to deploy additional warming points.

Apart from that, the SES set up field kitchens, which should provide everyone who needs with warm food.

The Prime Minister thanked the civilians of Avdiyivka for their courage and promised that any decisions dependent on the Government would be taken immediately by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Groysman highly appreciated the professionalism of the Ukrainian military.

The Prime Minister also announced that the Ukrainian President had used all possible diplomatic levers in order to ensure a ceasefire in the region.
