Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko has given such instruction to the central and local authorities and relevant services due to the deterioration of weather conditions on January 4 - 9.

"Due to the expected heavy snowfall and a sharp decrease in temperature up to 26 C below zero it was instructed to ensure constant monitoring of the situation in the regions. Among the priority activities: the organization of round-the-clock activity of the operational headquarters for the elimination of possible emergency situations, the smooth functioning of the life support systems of the population, creation of necessary stocks of fuel and lubricants, clothing, medicine, food and power supply, round-the-clock operation of the stationary points of heating to provide assistance to the population",  Hennadii Zubko said.
