In particular, recently, there has been launched a joint public-government initiative "Together Against Corruption", in the framework of which the Government in synergy with the public elaborated 83 anti-corruption measures to eliminate opportunities for abuse in each Ministry. 80% of measures are being implemented.

In this regard the Prime Minister urged the public and experts to be active to eliminate grounds for corruption in the Government and added he is committed to support.

On August 1, the Government has introduced the electronic system of public procurement ProZorro to carry out all public procurement procedures. Moreover, there have been abolished 367 regulatory acts hampering doing business, reminded the Prime Minister.

"It is crucial for us not to stop,” said Volodymyr Groysman. “I prefer we would build a system that inspires trust of civil society and the citizens."

"I have no closed topics. I am ready to be absolutely open", noted the Prime Minister.

He noted that in recent years Ukraine had been demonstrating a breakthrough in the issues of elaboration of legislation on fighting and preventing corruption, establishing institutions designed to combat corruption.

Volodymyr Groysman noted that corruption occurs where decision-making depends on a person and where the activities are shrouded in secrecy.

In this context, “it is vital to change the very system of decision-making in the country so that to make transparency in our work be commonplace,” said the Prime Minister.

“Corruption is threatening our country from within and can take away our future”, the Head of Government is convinced. “High level of corruption makes it impossible to work effectively, to build a fair society, improve many of key indicators that affect the level of our life, and breeds mistrust".
