The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine expects the Parliament will timely approve the state budget for 2017 and amendments to the Tax Code enabling the country to start the upcoming year with having the aforesaid documents endorsed. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced on air of the Inter TV channel on Sunday.

"We consider that these documents [the draft budget and amendments to the Tax Code] are all well balanced, correspond to our national interests and will have positive impact on economic stability and development. Therefore, there are no economic grounds not to vote. We hope that we will consolidate and support the budget, hence we’ll start the year of 2017 according to the plan," said Volodymyr Groysman.

He noted that the main financial document contains plans to finance expenses of the Ukrainian state, such as: "the wage of the military, doctors, teachers, other obligatory payments, it includes medicines for Ukrainian citizens, repairs, reconstruction, modernization of Ukraine’s infrastructure, local budgets, regional development - all these are the tasks we need to accomplish."

The Prime Minister stressed that in the process of formation of the draft budget the Government had openly engaged in a dialogue with the society and the Parliament.

"This is a budget, which will provide an opportunity to ensure economic growth, to pay higher minimum wages and, in particular, reduce the deficit of the Pension Fund," explained Volodymyr Groysman.

In this context, he stressed that the political forces, despite their political flags, should demonstrate unity and adopt the budget for 2017.
