  • Prime Minister: We have the potential to launch production of high-quality Ukrainian aircrafts on a regular basis

    The domestic aviation industry requires systemic solutions that will allow the country to launch the production of high-quality Ukrainian aircrafts on a regular basis. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on opening a meeting dedicated to promotion the Ukrainian aircraft building at the state enterprise ‘Antonov’.

    "We should use our potential to lift Ukrainian plane into the sky. We should stop one-off production – there must be planes produced and they must serve apart from others the citizens of Ukraine", said the Prime Minister.

    The Head of Government stressed that Ukraine has all high technologies in the aircraft building domain and can carry out the whole production cycle.

    According to him, competition in this sector is huge. To ensure competitiveness of national products will allow the system Government’s support, which should be rational and targeted, said the Head of Government.

    Volodymyr Groysman said that the Ukrainian jets, aircraft engines are second to none of the world analogues in technical characteristics, in terms of comfort and safety.

    "I consider that to satisfy the needs of the country we should use our domestic aircraft building – helicopters, airplanes. We are producing ourselves, capable of upgrading, capable to ensure complete production cycle – to satisfy 100% of our needs. Dozen thousands jobs in the country, hundreds millions in taxes to the budget; these are competitive advantages we can achieve," stressed the Prime Minister.

    He stressed that the development of aircraft construction and the industry in whole will accelerate economic growth in Ukraine.

    "The revival of the Ukrainian industry implies the revival of the Ukrainian economy,” said Volodymyr Groysman. Without the development of the industry, without development of our strong points we won’t achieve a more rapid economic growth. We cannot constantly depend on international aid, that we do appreciate, we are grateful. But I think all of us are interested in Ukraine and its economy becoming strong in this difficult time."
