On November 4, 2016, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin paid an official visit to the Republic of Albania.
The programme of the visit included meetings with the President of Albania Bujar Nishani, Speaker of the Parliament Ilir Meta and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Albania Ditmir Bushati.
During the negotiation the sides exchanged views on a number of topical issues of bilateral cooperation, including the implementation of priority projects in trade and economic cooperation, cooperation on European and Euro-Atlantic integration, expansion of the legal framework and support within international organizations.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister invited his counterpart to visit Ukraine.
In Tirana Mr. Pavlo Klimkin met with Ukrainian local community.
The heads of foreign ministries of Ukraine and Albania signed an Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on mutual abolition of visa requirements, which will give new impetus to the development of all branches of the Ukrainian-Albanian cooperation.
