of Defence of Ukraine General of the
Army of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak
held talks with newly appointed Ambassador of Estonia to Ukraine Gert Antsu on Thursday, November
3.
“Estonia and Ukraine are friends,
my Estonian counterpart is my friend, too,” the Minister said,
“We’re completely aware of the global threat from Russian Federation and
we realize that only our joint efforts will help us to resist
the enemy”.
The Ambassador reaffirmed
he would develop and deepen the Estonian-Ukrainian cooperation, including
at the level of defence ministries.
“We monitor the latest changes
within the Ukrainian army and are ready to contribute to ongoing
reforms,” he said.
The parties also discussed the
current situation in the east of Ukraine and prospects of their
cooperation. General Poltorak underscored the
necessity to hold regular meetings as a proof of close and
friendly relations between both states.
